Position Summary

This position offers a unique succession planning opportunity for a purchasing professional eager to advance into a dedicated & key purchasing role within approximately 18 months. During this development period, the successful candidate will receive hands-on training in all aspects of the purchasing function while gaining valuable exposure to customer service & order entry, sales support, plant administrative operations, and cross-functional business activities across the organization. This role provides a broad foundation for long-term career growth and advancement.

Location: Onsite (New Hope)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Salary: $60,000-$70,000 annually

Type: direct hire with full benefits!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Purchasing Development

  • Learn and support the purchasing process for raw materials, supplies, tooling, equipment, and services.
  • Assist with supplier communication, pricing, order placement, and delivery follow-up.
  • Monitor inventory levels of purchased materials and components.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
  • Support cost reduction initiatives and vendor performance tracking.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams on purchasing-related activities.
  • Gain knowledge of ISO-compliant purchasing procedures and supplier management processes.

Customer Service Support

  • Serve as back-up support for customer service functions.
  • Enter and update customer orders within the ERP system.
  • Prepare order acknowledgements and communicate order updates.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding order status and delivery schedules.
  • Assist with invoicing, quote support, and customer communications.
  • Coordinate with Production, Sales, Engineering, and Quality departments to ensure customer requirements are met.

Plant Administrative Support

  • Provide administrative assistance to support daily plant operations.
  • Assist with purchasing maintenance and office supplies.
  • Manage documentation, reports, and departmental records.
  • Support contract and vendor administration as needed.
  • Provide reception and office coverage when necessary.
  • Assist with special projects and other administrative duties as assigned.
  • Support multiple departments and contribute to the overall efficiency of the organization.
